18 Months

Kara turned a year and a half on May 30. Where does the time go? Kara is 33 inches tall (55th percentile) and 25lbs. 11oz. (70th percentile). The doctor was surprised when I told her that I suspected another UTI just because of Kara having a crabby day the day before and her waking up early for 2 days. I brought in a urine sample which they kindly tested for me. I know, I am a crazy, overanxious mom...NOPE! She does have another infection. Poor thing. Anyway, she will be just finishing up the antibiotics when we leave for our cruise on the 8th. Doesn't every baby get to go on a cruise for their half birthday? We have an appt. with the Head of Urology at Childrens' Hospital on June 15. Our pediatrician wants a second opinion on the MRI video and the kidney ultrasound we had a few months ago. I sure hope she grows out of this. The constant worry does take its toll.

Kara got a shot and after this one she only needs one more at age 2. After that it will only be flu shots if we decide for her to have them. She was so good and the doctor was very happy with her overall health and said she is "definitely thriving." Our little angel.

Sounds like she is just growing like a little weed!!! That is amazing that you caught on to her UTI so quickly...I am sure Kara is very thankful too!
Have a great time on your cruise! Will be anxious to hear how it goes!

One thing I've learned these last few months is ALWAYS trust your instincts, you know your baby!! Is there anything that they can do for her, or are you just hoping she grows out of it?

OMG little one!!! I'm so sorry about all of your worry with Kara! It's such a stress to have healthy kids, let alone dealing with such issues! Where are you cruising? I sooooo want to go with you! Have fun!
