Kara LOVES swimming. Yesterday it was about 104 degrees outside but we had planned a swimming date with our friends. Kara had a blast and the water felt great. Auntie Krishawn brought teeny CHOCOLATE cupcakes so Kara got her first taste of chocolate. I think I did a pretty good job at keeping that taste unfamiliar--almost 2 years!
In other news, Kara went #1 on the potty 7 times on Monday and #2 once. Not bad! Today she isn't as interested and is only at 2 times. She has been hitting anything and everything that ticks her off AKA other children that take her toy or look at her funny. Where do kids get this. We have never hit her, she hasn't seen any violence with other kids or t.v. programs. What the heck? She screams at the top of her lungs when she doesn't get what she wants. She thinks time-outs are fun. Ugh.

Glad you are using your awesome pool! Many memories there! No chocolate til 2! Good job! They say that the reason they lash out and hit at this age is because they are trying to figure out their emotions, and the only way they know to express them is physically sense they haven't learned to use their words...not fun to go through though!

2 years with no chocolate?!?! :) Some people I know would call that chocolate abuse.. And as far as the hitting everyone, I have NO idea where that type of attitude came from.. Congrats on the potty training, and thanks for keeping your blog so much more up to date than mine! You guys all rock!
Had so much fun with you two. Maybe she's hitting because she's not getting enough chocolate??? I agree with Jamie...it will get better when the words start flowing more easily. She is doing great with the potty!
