Kara has been very difficult off and on since we got home from Oregon. She has totally regressed in the potty training department and has actually just sat and peed on the carpet. She gets so intense. She strikes out and hits me, screams at the top of her lungs or throws whatever is close at hand. She wakes up every morning and asks where Daddy is and is clearly NOT happy that he had to go back to work. Are there too many changes? Is she growing? Is she sick or in pain? Ugh. She gets so completely irrational that we can't reason with her or even BRIBE her. I am emotionally frayed. My parents took her swimming this morning so I could have a break and clean up a little. The funny part about it all is--when she is gone for about 30 min. I start to MISS her and wonder what she is doing--no matter how upset I was before. I just love my little bug.

Terrible Twos?

Yup, it's the terrible twos...and as they approach 3 it gets worse...sorry to tell you. I think 3 is harder than 2. It has been really helpful to keep Taylor napping. Katelyn stopped napping at 2 1/2 and was a nightmare! Just know that I am right there with you!
I must agree...it is the terrible twos. But, I also found 3 to be so much more difficult. I actually would call my mom and almost be crying because I didn't know what to do anymore. Where did my sweet little Emily go?! But, thankfully, a few months after she turned 4, I got my sweet little girl back...just with a little more attitude!
You're an amazing mom, and Aaron is an amazing dad...you guys will get through this!
Your little water bug sure enjoyed the pool this morning -- and the water spurting play yard. She was happy and so very well behaved. She really has the sweetest vocabulary with all the "thank you" and "please" comments.
As it was near time to go her Papa said, "5 more minutes," then said "3 more minutes," then said, "2 more minutes" THEN she piped up with, "3 more minutes?"
We sure enjoyed our time at the pool.
