Busy Weekend!

Last weekend our friends from Washington came down to visit with their daughter, Elizabeth (4 in August) and their son, Michael.  (Too tired to look up when his 2nd b-day is right now,)  Anyway, Grandpa Bob (Elizabeth's papa) took the kids to a ranch we had visited last November and this time not only did Kara get to ride the ponies she got a FULL lesson.  She loved it.  Nothing in the world right now is as exciting as My Little Ponies for her.  The pony below is Tornado, he is 14 and was very good at following Kara's orders.  We went from there to Grandpa Bob's house and she got to go swimming and have pizza.  This was on Friday and it was Aaron's last day of work.  He signed out at 1:00 and came to the pool party. What an awesome way to celebrate his last day of work.  We only get to see Ryan and Summer a few times a year.  (Ryan and Aaron have been friends since they were 12.)

Aaron and I had a great time visiting with Ryan and Summer and we ended up being invited to the family dinner that night.  Grandpa Bob and his new bride, Wendy, got married the next evening.  Other family members began to arrive after long drives and we enjoyed a great, catered dinner at his home.

The next morning we took Kara to swim class and bought Aaron a new suit because he has lost so much weight. We realized that he literally had nothing to wear to the wedding that night!  Got a quick rest with Kara, got all fancied up and to the wedding by 5:30.  It was beautiful. Aaron left at 8:45 to drive to his brother's house to spend the night.  He had a half marathon the next morning with his older brother and younger sister that he needed to wake up for at 3:30 AM.  Kara and I closed down the wedding at 10:45.  Our friends were flying out the next morning to go back to Washington and we were so thankful to have had all of Friday with them.
