Hey everybody! I don't really know where to start but I will do my best to update you. We just got back this afternoon from NINE weeks at my parents' lake house in Oregon. It was wonderful.
Very long story--short--WE ARE ADOPTING!!! We finished up all the home study stuff before we left in June and got all the paperwork, fingerprints, DMV records, medical records, blah-blah-blah, done then too. Everything fell into place so quickly and easily. Thank goodness.
On July 31 we were selected by birthparents in Michigan and needless to say we are thrilled, overjoyed, and shocked about the perfectness of the whole situation.

OMG Kim, definitely want more info. This is so exciting!! I've been looking for a post from you for what feels like forever. Nine weeks in Oregon sounds fantastic. I'm glad you had a great time. I'm so very happy for you guys - you certainly deserve it. Details, we want details. Is the baby born yet? Boy or girl? When will you be able to bring your child home? I'm so happy I could literally burst. Congratulations!!
Again, I wish we had the address for this sooner, your excitement is the only thing that kept us going through the rough times. Please, be sure to keep in touch, other than just blogging, personal emails would be great!
It's still amazing to go back through the older blogs and remember what it was like on the other end of the phone.. .
