It begins.
This morning I had my appt. with my RE to go over all of my meds. Like I even need this appt. but oh well. I followed directions and nodded--knowing I could explain it better myself. The nurse gave me my first injection. She hit a vein. Not only do the 4 vials of Repronex already hurt like heck going in but she hit a vein! My stomach immediately swelled up and turned purple. Now I can't bend over or sit comfortably because my jeans put pressure on the area. Oh boy, here we go! How the heck am I going to do 19 more shots when one whole side is already bruised?! I am going to have to get creative and use legs, arms, butt, whatever doesn't hurt already. Well, at least it has begun and I can start counting down the days until retrieval. Looks like it should be on Easter.

Oh ick, sorry about the vein thing. Ouch!!! For the non-IM shots I did them in the stomach or the back fleshy part of the arm (that actually worked really well, and hurt less I think!) and for IM's, mostly in the butt (with a heating pad before and after). Hope you heal up and have better luck than the dang nurse these next few days!
Like Kristin said, dang nurse. Knowing you could have did a much better job than her!
Hope the healing is speedy. Use the other side of the belly if you can for you sub-q's. So excited for you. I can't wait!
