Lungs

Kara has discovered her lungs. And let me tell you they are strong and healthy. Luckily she still only seems to cry for a reason. Mostly gas. Finding out which end it is supposed to come out is our challenge. Tomorrow is her 4-week check up and I am anxious to find out how much weight she has gained. She just loves to eat. It is starting to feel a little like Groundhog Day--feeding, burping, changing diapers, washing bottles, doing laundry...as well as kissing, hugging, snuggling, smiling, laughing, and overall being parents...what we have wanted for so long. Neither of us want to go back to work. We still have another two weeks and 3 days off. (We are all anxious for Aunt Nicole to come back from her out-of-town family visit. She has been such an amazing help to us and Ellie misses her.)

Ah, the true joys of parenthood! Can't wait to hear how Kara's appointment goes tomorrow. Anxious to hear how much weighs now...looks like she has been packing on the weight! She looks so precious! Not much time before you have to go back to work...that is going to be so horrible for the two of you.

Love the groundhog day comment. Enjoy the joys of early parenting. You don't get them back. With both of our children we had to use simithicone (sp) an anti gas droplet added to the formula, she is so amazingly beautiful and looks so precious when she's asleep.. Yet, they all start so peacefully.. :) Keep in touch ya guys.
